Victory Gardens for Peace works with communities to address issues of health, food access and sustainability through working with the biointensive method of agriculture. We help individuals empower themselves through training programs which embody a co-creative, inclusive process. We are home to the following projects:

Victory Gardens for Peace Research, Education and Demonstration Mini-Farm in Mendocino, California

Our VGFP mini-farm is a Master-Level certified training site for the biointensive method. We work with individuals from around the world to demonstrate the methods effectiveness at reducing water use, fertilizer inputs, energy needs and agricultural footprint while increasing yields sustainably. We host tours, workshops, internships, apprenticeships and teacher certification programs.

The Victory Gardens for Peace Community Seed Bank

The VGFP Seed Bank conserves and adapts local seed varieties, makes them available to our community for free, increases awareness of issues surrounding seed access and is supported through a bioregional network of local seed savers.

The Garden Friendly Community Resolution

The GFC Resolution is a movement to recognize the importance of a strong home and community gardening culture for local food security, community resilience and sustainability. It serves to help communities organize in support of gardeners and gardening programs as well as increase access to garden spaces in our communities.
