The Victory Gardens For Peace Seed Bank
Our Roots
The Victory Gardens for Peace Seed Bank was started in 2015 with the goal of re-invigorating a seed saving culture in communities where it has been lost. The VGFP Seed Bank is designed to be a simple and replicable model and is incorporated into our educational programs. We work with our local community to conserve seeds and make them available to community members for free.
Our 5 key missions

Preservation
Preserve and develop locally adapted open-pollinated seed varieties
Access
Make these varieties openly available and free
Education
Raise awareness of the importance of seed saving and issues around saving seed
Culture
Develop a network of bioregional seed savers in our community
Sustainability
Connect the saving of seed to growing of food, soil and community
